Family Attractions at Magaluf

If you’re looking for a fun family holiday that will appeal to all ages, consider staying at the Magaluf island resort located on the Spanish island of Majorca.

The Magaluf resort is located directly on the beach and is known as one of the top destinations for the British to visit, specializing in family vacations. This is because the resort appeals to all ages, from small children to full-grown adults. No matter what your interests are, there’s simply something for everyone.

There are many attractions located by the Magaluf island resort with one of the most well known being the pirate adventure show. This show takes place on a life-size pirate ship, with children and adults sitting in either the quarter deck or the main deck. As the story begins, it tells of a pirate captain who set off with his crew to find buried treasure across the seven seas. But one night, the crew comes across an evil French pirate who steals the treasure that they’ve spent their whole lives searching for. A war commences between the two pirates, which is performed live on stage by acrobats, gymnasts, and dancers.

There are two versions of the pirate show: Family Night and Pirates UnCut. The first show is tamed down so children can watch it without becoming scared. The uncut version including a few swears words and the pirates themselves also wear less clothing to appeal to an older audience. Once the show finishes, families can join the crew for a buccaneer’s feast.

In addition to the pirate shows, there are also two water parks located at the south end of the beach, Aqualand water park and Western water park. Both parks have been specifically designed for children of all ages, making it a great place to take the family. They have tamer rides, such as small water slides and a wave pool, but also larger rides that will appeal to older kids and adults, such as the Boomerang and the Tornado, which spins you around a funnel before spitting you out into the water.

With so many tourist attractions, be sure not to forget about the resort itself. While children are off playing at the beach, pools, or water parks, adults can be relaxing by one of the many bars or tourist locations located along the back of the resort. These locations really come alive at night, ensuring there’s never a dull moment.

If you have any thrill-seekers or sports buffs in your family, they’ll love trying the Isla de sa Porrassa challenge. The island, which has been nicknamed Black Lizard Island, is located about 400m from the resort beachfront. It’s a common challenge for tourists to try and swim to the shore and back, however, if you’re not a strong swimmer, you can also take jet skis or other transportation there as well.

Isla de sa Porrassa itself is uninhabited by humans, however, a vast amount of black lizards live along the shore, hence it’s nickname “Black Lizard Island.”
