Great Destinations for Travel Bloggers: The UK is a small country with a big tourism appeal. There is so much to see and do in this beautiful country. You can unwind in the extensive beaches, visit the beautiful up-country woodlands, or indulge in local cuisine across the UK.

It wouldn’t be fair on yourself not to go on a tour of some of England’s most famous castles. Tear yourself from London’s Buckingham Palace and go to Warwick Castle. This tourist-friendly castle gives you an insight into real historic UK, complete with torture chambers and displays of royalty. After that, head to Dorset for Corfe Castle. It is rumored that it was so well defended, that Parliament ordered it be torn down to prevent anyone else from using it to stage a siege. You can visit the beautiful Edinburgh Castle, the fairytale Eilean Donan Castle, or the regal Inveraray Castle all in Scotland.

Skiing in France

France, the home of Moncler (renowned for its luxury ski wear), houses some of the world’s most famous skiing destinations. It is little wonder since it has the best snow record in Europe for the past five years now. You will find a destination to suit your own unique needs depending on budget, skiing skill level, family size, and even time of year.

For those who are looking for a quick getaway, head on to Geneva airport (yes, Geneva!) and use the Autoroute Blanche to access the Chamonix in France. It is not your typical rural setting, but it has challenging courses, modern facilities, and some of the best luxury ski chalets. For something a bit more rural, head on to St. Martin-de-Belleville. It is romantic, quiet, and traditional, not exciting for young and party-hunting crowds. For such hot-blooded crowds, Meribel or even Chamonix offers more excitement.

For families, head to Les Gets, La Tania, or Vaunjay. If you want a change of scenery any time during the year, Tignes offers 10 months of snow per year. You can also have a great time on a budget at Aussois, where you can enjoy much more than just skiing. Whichever part of France you pick out, be sure to enjoy their unique cuisine, lovely wine, and charming culture.

Golfing in Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka’s natural beauty combined with its rich Asian culture has propelled it to one of the world’s premier tourism destinations. No wonder Lonely Planet has named it the top place to visit in 2013. Many visitors opt for a tailor-made holiday in Sri Lanka so they get to see all the incredible sights this country has to offer, but if you fancy a trip which is slightly more focused then that’s certainly possible too. For golf lovers, you will be delighted to find this scenic country offers some of the world’s oldest and interesting golf courses.

Truth be told, it is not really known for golfing, but it should. If you are a golf lover on a budget, mark Sri Lanka on your calendar. Its green fees are among the lowest in the world, yet it offers 3 beautiful 18 hole golf courses. The most famous among them, the Royal Colombo is home to the annual SriLankan Airlines Golf Classic. It was established back in 1880 and features an authentic British feel in the lovely Sri Lankan scenery. The Nuwara Eliya Golf Club is another old golf course established in 1891. This long, scenic golf course is perfect for the family experience. Their caddies are friendly, the green fees affordable and you will get help with your kids. The Victoria International Golf and Country Resort located in Kandy is also world-class.

Together, these three form the golfing triangle of Sri Lanka. The difference in altitude and scenery make playing on each course a unique and pleasurable experience.
