Historical significance of hyderabad charminar:

hyderabad charminar was built in the year 1591 by SUltan Mohammed Quli Qutb Shah. The monument was constructed in honour of the wife of Sultan Bhagmati. This was in the early days when the capital was shifted to Hyderabad. The city of Hyderabad at that point of time was known by the name of Golconda. The meaning of Charminar is 4 pillars. The design at that point of time was inspired from the Shia Tazia. The 4 corners of the Hyderabad Charminar are of at least 20 m in length. The monument at that point of time was created in order to keep a watch in all directions of the capital. The base of the monument was created in such a way that it represents a lotus leaf.

Cultural Significance :

hyderabad charminar consists of 45 different places of prayer which are still frequented by people to this state. The prayer halls or the player places are the most crowded on Fridays. There is also a small mosque on the higher most floor of Hyderabad Charminar.

The best time to visit the monument is from October to March.

If you’re heading over there, the evening time that is after 4 PM is the best time as the monument looks mesmerizing in the evenings.
