Ettumanoor Mahadeva temple
This is a privilege and temple of Lord Shiva that would make you feel calm inside the temple premise. The main attraction of the temple is the all-time-lit lamp spreading its glowing light all around and the long queue eager to add oil to increase the life of the lamp. The temple is located near Vaikom in Ettumanoor, a small village in Kumarakom. The visiting hour is from 4 am to 12 noon and again from 5 pm to 8:30 p.m. the most visited occasion falls on the month of February that is famous for “Celebration of Light”.
Bay Island Driftwood Museum
This unique type of museum is famous for the innovative art techniques of the modern era. Founded by a school teacher, Raji Punnose from Andaman and Nicobar Island, this form of artistic formation is favoured all around the world. The sculptures are made of wood that showcases designs made of roots and tree trunk. Because of its awesome intricate artwork, this museum is listed in the Limca book of Records. The museum can be visited from Tuesday to Sunday.
