The largest resort in Dubai, the Madinat Jumeirah is a five-star luxury resort located on one kilometer of private beachfront. It is a holiday destination created to resemble ancient life on Dubai Creek. The Al Qasr is the centerpiece of the resort and has been designed to resemble an Arabian mansion for a royal summer palace. It is a very high-quality boutique hotel with 292 guest rooms and suites with spectacular views of the sea as well as the Burj Al Arab. The hotel is linked to the rest of the 40-hectare resort by the 5.4 km of waterways. It has lovely tree-lined walkways with elegant sculptures of Arabian horses. The resort has 29 residential retreats that are two-story with eight to 11 rooms and suites, beautifully landscaped gardens with a few located right on the beachfront. There is also a 24-hour butler service.

The resort offers many water sports including windsurfing and diving as well as other activities.
