The art collection includes works by Lautrec, Van Goch, Cezanne, Renoir, Pisarro, Monet, and Matisse. You can spend at least three hours in this museum without being disturbed. The collected artworks are divided into two groups; Thyssen-Bornemisza and the Carmen Thyssen-Bornemisza Collections. Thyssen-Bornemisza has been sold to the Spanish government while the latter one is a personal collection of Carmen Cervera. It’s actually in loan to the museum.
Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia
the building at first was started out as San Jose hospital. Later on, it was remodeled to a museum containing a collection of Spanish contemporary art from the 20th century. The building also has a library, bookshop, and cafeteria.
