The Maid of the Mist
Several boat tours around the falls operate all year, but the Maid of the Mist is still the king (or should we say queen!) of the bunch. The experience is as humbling as it is fun, as you bob beneath the biggest and most powerful waterfall in the world. It simply isn’t enough to see the falls, this is the opportunity to experience their power!
Another popular way to experience the falls is from the air. The Skylon Tower is an entertainment complex that leads to the highest observation deck in the city (775 feet), with breathtaking views of the Falls and the stunning national park beyond.
There are two restaurants at the top of the tower, including the famous revolving dining room that will give you 360 views while you eat. Downstairs you will find an arcade, souvenir shops, a food court, and a 4D theatre, so there is plenty to keep the whole family entertained!

The Fallsview Casino Resort has the largest gaming floor in Canada and a vast amount of things to do under one roof, with the added bonus of incredible views of the Falls. Fallsview is the best night out in the city, with bars, restaurants, games, gambling, nightly live entertainment, and a nightclub to end the evening. It’s a mini-Vegas by the Falls!
Visit a Dinner Theatre
Niagara Falls is right on the border of America, but proudly displays its Canadian identity! You can learn all about Canadian history, traditions, and music at the unique Oh Canada Eh? dinner theatre. Located in the central tourist district, the experience involves performers singing and dancing medleys of Canadian hits while you are served a delicious five-course Canadian dinner. This popular show has now been running for over 20 years and cheerily greets a full house every night, so make sure you book in advance.
Where to Stay
Niagara Falls hotels are all about the thrills, and the Americana resort has its own water park, for those who really want to go for an adventurous swim after seeing the Falls!
There is also a large range of budget hotels and motels around the Falls, including a Comfort Inn and a Super 8. There are also camping resorts in the forests surrounding the falls for those who want to get back to nature.
