Regular cruise boats give visitors a tour of the lake and views of the alps, the lakeside beaches, and the quaint villages that have built around the shore. The water in Lake Zurich is clean and fresh, and swimming from the beaches is encouraged in the summer months.

Another water feature in Zurich is the Limmat river, which divides the city into east and west. River cruises are also popular amongst visitors and will give you a scenic overview of the city center.

Street Parade

A celebration of love, understanding, freedom, and techno music, the Zurich Street Parade is a one-of-a-kind event that attracts people from all over the world on the second Saturday of August. With nearly 1 million attendees, the street parade is a colorful and chaotic festival with incredible costumes, street performances, and some of the best techno and house music in the world. Hotels fill up very quickly for this weekend, so make sure to book in advance, and bring your silliest hat!
