There is not an Indian who has not heard of Bhangarh. Often referred to as the most haunted place in India. Situated in the Rajgarh municipality of the Alwar district in Rajasthan, Bhangarh is a village worth visiting for every thrill seeker and paranormal lover. Bhangarh was established by Kachwaha Rajput ruler of Jaipur Bhagwant Das. Another thing about Bhangarh village is that it is situated at the edge of Sariska Tiger Reserve

Bhangarh is also famous as a pre-historic site and its origins date back to the late 16th century. The only downside of this place is that you can’t enter the place after sunset or before sunrise and it is illegal to do so. According to the local townspeople, spirits enter the Bhangarh Fort after sunset and take the lives of the people who stay there after dark. This village is now uninhabited and is in ruins, for the people have left fearing the paranormal.

How to get here:

Being a very famous tourist destination, getting to Bhangarh is quite easy. You can get to Bhangarh from Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan, via the line 14 bus to Bassi Mod and from there you need to take a taxi to get to your destination. You can also drive from Jaipur too, Bhangarh is only 90 kilometers away. But keep one thing in mind which is that there are no direct modes of transport available from Jaipur to Bhangarh. Many tourists get scammed by people pretending to be a driver or conductor of a bus that travels to Bhangarh directly from Jaipur.
