Thailand, formerly known as Siam, is a country located at the center of the Indochina Peninsula in South East Asia. Thailand is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Far East and is home to a variety of expatriates from developed countries including the UK and the USA.

Thailand is famous for its white sandy beaches and incredibly blue waters. Here you will find some of the world’s most beautiful coral reefs and hundreds of small islands that are nestled in against one another yet feel like they are worlds apart.

The cuisine in Thailand is simply sensational with lots of spicy and aromatic feasts on offer from the many hotels here. If you are a night owl you can visit one of the numerous night markets where you can select your food from hundreds of stalls and try something different possibly every day for the rest of your life! Pad Thai is one of the most popular Thai dishes featuring noodles, prawns, lime juice, peanuts, and eggs to mix together for a stunning eating treat!

Thailand is full of markets with amazing goods on offer and lets the barterer in you come out here to save yourself some money and feel like you really earned your purchase. You will find some wonderful souvenirs to take home here and be sure to visit the Chatuchak weekend market for some of the best items.

The Temple of the Emerald Buddha and Grand Palace are just two of the must-see sights while here. Wat Pho is Bangkok’s oldest and largest temple and is home to an amazing 46m long reclining Buddha. You can find out more about some of Thailand’s hill tribes by visiting Chiang Mai, in the north, to see some of the wonderful monasteries and temples that are beholden here.

The stunning scenery and landscapes of Thailand offer are an array of opportunities to go diving, snorkeling, and water skiing. You can also explore the rainforests on the back of an elephant for a truly unique experience. If you are quite adventurous then you can take a small boat close to some ancient caves and then complete your journey using a sea canoe. This is a wonderful excursion and is not for the faint-hearted but rest assured you will see some amazing views upon arrival.

Thailand is full of safe sandy beaches, warm waters, and amazing beach resorts. This makes Thailand the ideal destination for people of all ages whether bringing children or not. If you are taking children then they can learn all about the local elephants in an elephant learning center and learn the skill of bamboo rafting along one of the many gentle rivers on offer here.

If you fancy exploring somewhere different on Thailand holidays then check out Koh Samui which is an amazing tropical island known for its white sandy beaches and being the coconut capital of the world. Here you will be able to sample some absolutely delicious cocktails using fresh coconuts and fruits. The coconuts are so well-favored here that you can smell them being cooked in the air. This makes for an amazing tropical island feel when lying on the beach.

Coral Cove is an amazing place to visit in Koh Sumai and is a fantastic place to take part in some scuba diving. If scuba diving is a little too brave for you then grab a mask and a snorkel and check out some of the wonderful fish and coral nearer to the shore and just a few paddles away from the beach making Koh Sumai holidays fantastic.
