Nani Daman Fort
Also known as St Jerome Fort, this small fort with high stone walls has three bastions and two gateways. Enclosed in an area of 12,250 sq. meters, it has a giant gateway facing the river with a large statue of St. Jerome and two giant human figures, on either side. The imposing church of Our Lady of the Sea is the principal building within the Fort.
Of the different sacred places of Daman Tourism, the one which attracts tourists to the fullest extent is the Jain temple in Daman. It is located to the northern region of the Nani Daman fort. The specialty of this temple lies in its intricately designed and decorated inner walls. These walls have very elegant glass cover bearing murals of 18th century. These murals represent the life of Mahavir, the founder of Jainism.
Like other beaches of Daman, the Devka beach is a sight of pure beauty. It has clean blue waters and well maintained shores. There is also a special Amusement Park that houses huge fountains and ample play area for kids.
This beautiful sandy beach stretches about 3 kms south of Moti Daman. With casuarinas plantation on the sea shore, the Jompore Beach presents a serene and broad beach line. As the sea is free from undercurrents and dangers, it is safe for swimming. Horse riding is also available at Jampore Beach.
Mirasol Lake Garden
Also known as the Kadaiya Lake Garden, this man-made marvel is a popular tourist attraction especially for film directors. It is surrounded by a beautiful lake and two islands connected by a bridge. The garden also has facilities for other activities like boat rides, fountains, water park, computer games and toy train making the garden a favourite hotspot for picnickers.
Located at the bank of the Damanganga River, this beautiful riverside garden has much to offer in Daman Tourism. With a cool green lawn, river faced benches, attractive fountains and fun rides for children; the garden offers a joyful evening for all age groups.
The Se Cathedral dates back to the 17th century. It is built in Iberian style and pattern. This cathedral is celebrated for its magnificently adorned altar that catches the attention of visitors. Apart from regular tourists, many local people visit the cathedral to hear sermons and offer prayers.

Daman experiences a moderate temperature throughout the year. Even though the place can be visited all through the year, the best time to visit Daman is from October to March. During this period, the weather remains pleasant and it makes visitors explore the places in their best ways.
