Pura Tanah Lot
It is one of the most iconic Balinese Sea temples and is about 20 km Northwest of Kuta. It is the most sacred temple in Bali and is known for its architectural beauty. The temple was built during the 16th century and is rumored to be inspired by a priest named Nirartha. Although foreigners are not allowed to enter any of the temples, yet you can enjoy roaming outside gazing at its magnificent beauty.
Uluwatu Temple – PuraLuhur
The Uluwatu Temple is situated over a large limestone cliff, about 70 meters high, in front of which is the clear blue sea. This temple is truly a must visit location in Bali. It is located on the island of Bukit Peninsula which also houses the greatest surfing point on earth.
Every day hundreds of visitors take the risk of trekking up 1700 meters to reach the summit of Mount Batur in order to witness the sunrise and lush greenery surrounding it. The trek is relatively easy for about 1-2 hours. If guided by trainers, the package would consist of breakfast and snacks.
